A “kangaroo” dance was part of Rachael Gunn’s August routine that received a lot of criticism. She claimed to have given the event her full attention, but she has already decided how she will approach future contests.

She will never longer participate, says an Australian Olympian whose breakdancing act at the Paris Games went viral.

Say goodbye to her professional wrestling career, Rachael Gunn, also known as “Raygun.”

The university lecturer from Sydney, who is 37 years old, was scoreless in all three of her August competition rounds.

Among her unconventional Olympic routine was the “kangaroo” dance.

Later, she expressed her regret and apologized, saying she was “very sorry” for the negative reaction, although she implied that many of the critics lacked knowledge of the sport.

She revealed on Wednesday’s episode of 2DayFM, an Australian radio station, that she and her spouse now “breaks” at home exclusively.

“Dancing is so much fun, and it makes you feel good, and I don’t think people should feel crap about, you know, the way that they dance,” she stated on The Jimmy and Nath Show.

Some of the severe responses to her performance warranted the offer of mental health assistance at the time.

Earlier, she had defended her routine, saying that she did, in fact, take the competition “very seriously” and criticizing the “devastating” abuse she had endured.

The amount of investigation that will be conducted will simply change its significance, in my opinion. With so much riding on the outcome, it will be different.

Theories on her participation in the tournament began to circulate with videos of her performances.

She was allegedly an “industry plant” who was sent in to fix the games, according to one of the most popular internet claims.

Atop the Paris Olympics breaking competition, the top judge subsequently defended her routine that had been widely criticized, despite the heavy criticism.

She was named the world’s best female breakdancer in September, according to the sport’s regulatory organization.

Though it had its Olympic debut in Paris, breaking will not be featured in either the 2028 or 2032 games in Los Angeles or Brisbane, respectively.
