In an attempt to break the record for the fastest time to drink a Capri Sun (paper straw), Mike Jack, who has multiple Guinness World Records for speed eating, stopped by the organization’s London offices.

Guinness World Records set a goal of 22 seconds to create the title.

After Jack finished drinking the bag in 21.71 seconds, a Guinness assessor confirmed that less than half a teaspoon of liquid remained in the pouch.

“I’m thrilled that I finally got this one, even if I hardly got it. I put a lot of effort on this one,” Jack remarked.

He attributed his success to Jamie, his wife, who developed the strategy he employed and acted as his “coach” for the endeavor.

He remarked, “Her technique got it for us,” “To get more air in there, give it a little additional blow. Then, remove all the liquid from the creases and suck it in. That was the cause.

Indian man Fayis Nazer set a record of 8.02 seconds for the fastest time to drink a Capri Sun with a regular plastic straw.

The gap between Jack’s and Nazer’s times, according to Guinness World Records, emphasizes “the difference in difficulty the paper straw creates.”

Serial record-breaker Jack typically eats fast food products that are notorious for being extremely spicy.

The fastest times to consume 50 Carolina reaper chili peppers (6 minutes, 49.2 seconds), 100 Carolina reaper chili peppers (36 minutes, 38.81 seconds), and the longest habanero pepper kiss—achieved by him and Jamie—include locking lips for 15 minutes, 6.5 seconds after each habanero was consumed—are among his accolades.
