He is strolling from Los Angeles to San Francisco, adorned with a bobbletail, perfectly round red cheeks, and a large puffy skull.
Jesse Larios claims he has been pleased with the attention the move has garnered, but he is unsure of what specifically motivated him to dress up as the persona he has named Bearsun and begin the more than 400-mile (644-kilometer) journey.
“It was definitely a spontaneous choice.” Wearing the brown-and-white suit he designed, the 33-year-old stated, “I didn’t plan it out.”
Larios’s April 12 adventure has grown into something more, attracting admirers from all around the world.
As of Wednesday, the GoFundMe page that Larios created had raised $7,100. He stated that when he gets to San Francisco, he will hold an online vote to decide where to make the donation.
Larios stated, “I just want to help people out.”
Larios hasn’t been doing much more than stopping occasionally to eat and sleep. At the end of the day, he simply sleeps inside the suit wherever he is, stopping at petrol stations for meals and to clean up. He stated that he is not in a huge hurry, even if the trip has already gone longer than expected.
Rather, he is strolling, taking in the scenery, which he shares on Instagram, and drawing inspiration from the trip and all the people he has encountered.
Larios remarked, “To be honest, everything has been pretty wild.” It motivates me to take on new challenges. It offers fresh concepts. It inspires me to be creative. It feels fantastic and is quite helpful.
