Pokemon cards and balloons are among the 2024 contenders for the Toy Hall of Fame.

The Pokemon Trading Card Game, Phase 10, Sequence, and Apples to Apples are all in the running.
Christopher Bensch, vice president for collections and chief curator, stated in a news release, “It’s great to see some returning contenders like My Little Pony and Transformers among this year’s class of 12 finalists, but they’re up against some worthy first-time finalists, like the trampoline, balloons, and the party game Apples to Apples.”
“These 12 toys offer a variety of entertaining match-ups and symbolize the broad spectrum of play, from strategic to whimsical to physical. This year, the public and selection judges will have to make some difficult choices,” he stated.
The public has until September 25 to cast their ballots for their preferred player in the Player’s Choice.
The Player’s Choice ballots and the National Selection Advisory Committee’s top selections will be combined to determine the ultimate inductees.
